Last updated: June 2026
Customers are responsible for user access, credentials, local agents, backup paths and configured storage providers.
Access may depend on active subscriptions, licence limits, trial status, payment status and database registration limits.
DBGuardian helps automate and monitor backups, but customers should regularly test restores and verify retention policies.
By accessing or using DBGuardian, creating an account, activating a licence or configuring the backup agent, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you use DBGuardian on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.
DBGuardian provides web-based configuration, monitoring, scheduling, licence management and reporting tools for database backup workflows.
The service may include a web dashboard, local agent, backup configuration, backup logs, live overview, upload settings, invoices and account management features.
Specific features depend on the selected plan, database type, licence status, supported operating environment and configured integrations.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, passwords, secret keys, server credentials and any users you invite or authorize.
You must provide accurate account information and keep contact, billing and company details up to date when required for the service.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, misuse of credentials or compromise of the local backup environment.
You are responsible for configuring database paths, usernames, passwords, server addresses, backup schedules, local storage paths and upload destinations correctly.
You are responsible for maintaining your database servers, network access, local storage capacity, third-party credentials, antivirus exclusions and operating system permissions.
You should regularly review backup logs, test restore procedures and confirm that generated backups meet your business, legal and recovery requirements.
Backup files may be created locally, copied locally, compressed, split, restored for verification or uploaded to configured remote destinations depending on your setup.
If remote cleanup or local cleanup is enabled, old backups may be deleted according to the configured retention policy. You are responsible for understanding and approving those settings.
Third-party storage providers such as Google Drive, FTP, SFTP or provider/internal storage may have their own limits, availability, pricing and terms.
Plans, licence limits, trial periods, subscription terms, renewal dates and prices are displayed during purchase or in your account area where applicable.
Access to paid features may be suspended or limited if payment fails, a subscription expires, a trial ends or licence limits are exceeded.
Taxes, invoices, refunds and cancellation rules may depend on your agreement, local law and payment provider rules.
You may not use DBGuardian to attack, disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, resell without authorization or misuse the service.
You may not upload, store or transmit unlawful, harmful, infringing or malicious content through connected storage destinations or support channels.
You must comply with applicable data protection, accounting, cybersecurity and industry obligations for the data you back up.
We aim to provide a reliable service, but availability can be affected by maintenance, infrastructure issues, customer environments, third-party providers or force majeure events.
We may improve, modify, suspend or discontinue features when needed for security, reliability, product development or legal compliance.
DBGuardian may integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, email providers, cloud storage, FTP/SFTP servers and identity or infrastructure providers.
We are not responsible for third-party provider outages, policy changes, permission revocations, storage limits or data processing outside our control.
DBGuardian is provided to assist with backup automation and monitoring. It does not replace your obligation to maintain a complete disaster recovery strategy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties that every backup, upload, restore, integration or notification will always succeed in every environment.
You should test restores and maintain redundant backup strategies appropriate for your business risk.
We may suspend or terminate access if there is non-payment, security risk, misuse, legal requirement, licence abuse or violation of these terms.
You may stop using the service or request account assistance according to your plan, subscription and customer agreement.
For questions about these terms, subscriptions, licences or account status, contact the DBGuardian team through the support channels listed on the website or your customer agreement.
